Sorry but I gotta be a hater and say this song doesn’t need Drake’s verse. Still a great song…

* Add milk to your scramble to give it that fluffy texture.

* Just because I blog about what I cook up doesn’t make me think I’m a great chef or make me think my culinary skills are superior to yours. I try and make these recipes as basic as possible to give you an idea on how easy it is to make great food. Obviously you should keep it creative and add your own flare to em but always remember, why go out and eat when you can make it yourself.

Tofu Mushroom Burgers

tofu mushroom burger

I first ate one of these at Taco Loco in Laguna Beach and let me tell you it’s probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten. I think Lawrence was the one that put me up on these and there’s nothing I can ever do to repay him. Even though this is one of my favorite “go to” dishes to make for dinner, I still can’t make it exactly like TL does but it’s pretty damn close.  Another good thing about this little bundle of deliciousness is it’s easy to make and it’s super healthy.

1. Slice and season your tofu like you would do a normal piece of meat and throw it on the grill. Only takes a couple minutes each side til nice and crisp.

2. Clean and slice the mushrooms (season with sea salt and pepper) and throw em in a pan with olive oil.  Only takes about 5 minute on medium high heat.

3. Dice up some avocado, tomato, chopped cilantro, garlic and jalapeno peppers. Season with salt and pepper.

4. Toast whatever type of bread you please and spread with some mayo, ketchup and mustard. Done

35 milly

About 5 years ago I went out to France and Barcalona for work and instead of taking my digital camera I decided to bring my old 35 mm Yashica T4. If you don’t know about this camera it takes amazing photos, dubbed one of the best point-and-shoots ever made. Even then I felt lucky to have one because Yashica discontinued the T4 early in 2002 – rumor is that they ran into licensing problems with Carl Zeiss lenses who armed the T4 with one of the best optical rigs you’ll find on a P&S. A couple people clowned me because it was a clunker and around that same time the smaller your digital camera was the cooler. Regardless of what everyone said I came back with 10 rolls of amazing pictures. The best part about it was when I got them developed I learned they started giving you a cd with all the images on there to upload to your computer as well. I ended up losing the cds and jpegs on my old computer but below are a couple from the trip I scanned from the physical copies (quality isn’t that great because of the scanner but I hope you get the idea). Anyways, I decided that I wanted to start bringing this beast around and taking more photos with it. Since I’m still trying to learn how to take picture’s I’ll make sure I keep you posted with the good ones.

Here’s a video I found of Terry Richardson using the same camera…

Be on the look out for more pics with the T4!

Bobby J. Blythe is a piece of shit

I’m warning you right now, if you haven’t seen this video please brace yourself because it’s pretty graphic and really sad. This piece of shit “karate master” Bobby J. Blythe instructs his student to brutally beat a mentally ill man. Even though this happened in 1984, this video just got leaked and the people involved should all be put in jail. From what I heard the victim was wandering around the shopping center where Blythe’s dojo was and the “karate master” made his students lure him in. Later the police discovered the dead body in the dumpster behind the dojo and Blythe was never charged. Horrible.

Supposedly this is the statement he gave- “This dummy was in my shopping center while I was on a Bodyguard Job in Washington, DC. This guy was in the Pizza Hut eating pizza off the plates of others and the Pizza Hut Manager ran him out with a pistol. Later the very same day, police officers were called to remove him from a nearby pharmacy after having been caught reaching into customer’s purses. A short time after that, he visited a Napa Auto Parts store next to my Karate Dojo and told the management he planned on teaching in that Dojo and that Jesus taught him.

The Napa guys told him he was confused (their polite way of warning the man against such action), but not wanting to miss a show, they told the man they would close early just to watch and that he must not know the owner, which is nobody to play with.. Needless to say, the police pulled him out of the dumpster behind my Karate Dojo where he was neatly placed. Semper Fi to all my Marine brothers. The karate student in the white is also a Marine Sgt. and a brand new Black Belt. Never get stupid with a Marine, you could get jacked up and have your clock stopped.”

I consider this as the first leak off Jay-Z’s highly anticipated Blueprint 3 album. There was a leaked track featuring Drake and produced by Timbaland but this one is way better (cuz Drake isn’t on it). Enjoy!
