Don’t blame McDonald’s
I love controversy and this commercial that the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine put out is just that. But in my opinion McDonald’s and all the other fast food joints are not the problem we are. It’s like blaming your car because you decided to speed and got into an accident. It’s sad to say but if you’re fat it’s your fault.

The cool thing about blogging the dishes I cook is it pushes me to try and make new stuff all the time. I’ll go on here and remind myself what I’ve already cooked and also think about how to improve past dishes. One thing that I’ve never done til now is make my own pasta and seriously I want to kick myself in the ass for not trying it before. Fresh pasta is in a whole different level than the dried store bought stuff so if you haven’t already it’s never too late to learn. Since this was my first time it took me a little longer but the flavor came out perfect…

Labor Day Weekend Pt. 1
Traditionally, Labor Day is celebrated by most Americans as the symbolic end of the summer. WTF?! I didn’t even know summer started. To me it’s just another day to drink, grill and hang out with friends.
I started reading about sustainability especially on fish. It’s crazy how our obsession with tuna, salmon, sea bass, etc. is driving these certain species to extinction. The fish below is mackerel. They’re a sustainable fish, great for grilling and amazing for your health.
