Of course by completely eliminating certain unhealthy food from your diet you’ll lose weight and be more healthy but who wants to do that? I love steak, when I cut into a perfectly cooked steak I get overwhelmed with joy and start smiling and laughing like I just saw a puppy trying to walk on tile but incessantly slipping and falling. I don’t know how many times I’ve said I’m going to stop eating meat and become a vegetarian then a month goes by and I relapse like a crack head in rehab. Next thing you know I’m binge beefing. Well recently I was enlightened, it’s all about quality and moderation. Eat healthy Monday through Thursday and Friday to Sunday eat whatever the hell you want. Here’s an example of what I’ve been eating during the week-
Breakfast- 9 grain toast with avocado and sea salt (pictured), granola with almond milk, fruits, veggie omelet.
Lunch- Grilled fish and rice (pictured), salad, rice and beans, small portion of pasta.
Dinner- Grilled fish and salad (pictured), protein burger (can sub with veggie patty), veggie omelet, sushi. NO carbs
* No soda, sweets, cheese, bacon or fried food.
* A lot of water
Eating like a hippie during the week makes you become more conscious of what you eat during the weekends. Your burgers won’t be from a fast food joint because you actually want a real burger, you’ll skip that $5 Little Ceasars pizza and go straight to BJ’s and even the quality of your cooking will improve. So don’t stop eating just remember, it’s all about moderation.

Sometimes you plan and expect so much out of your vacation it becomes more nerve-racking than relaxing. For Amy’s dirty 30 in Oahu that wasn’t the case our itinerary was simple- eat, drink, party and unwind.

I’ll call it right now, Morio’s Sushi isn’t just the best sushi in Hawaii it’s the best sushi EVER. Not only was the food fresh and amazing but everything about this little hole in the wall was great (BYOB with a liquor store around the corner!). Be sure to make reservations because it only fits about 20 people and if you bring your girlfriend don’t be surprised if drunk Morio gropes her.
