Stag Dining Group Is On a Roll
Latest write-up in Refinery29…
“Stag Dining Group—This seven-month-old club has hosted its monthly dinners in locales ranging from a historic Victorian home to the H.Q. of an underground radio station. And, like the name suggests, the club’s owners have built a community where stag diners can feel equally as comfortable as those in large groups. Plus, their love for hunting is evident in most of the menus. Those who love the unpredictable should keep this one top of mind. Stag’s last dinner started with an elevator ride down to the dining room. At the bottom? A six-course BYOB feast and Aloe Blacc, live in concert. “I Need A Dollar” (How To Make It In America) by Aloe Blacc

I remember being 14 years old listening to Aloe call Power 106 and rap on the Roll Call. He would kill it and was definitely one of the reasons why I fell in love with hip hop at such a young age. He’s also a perfect example of someone that followed his dreams and stuck to what he was passionate about and consistantly made great music. Just to update some of you that don’t know, he’s signed to a big independent record label and made the theme song to HBO’s How To Make It In America.

As you and your friends grow older you start noticing you start growing apart, you start leading your own lives and the communication sometimes ends. The cool thing is whenever you make contact with each other again true friends make it feel like you just talked to them yesterday. Even though that’s a great feeling, it’s also good to know the internet is there to help keep you updated on what your friends are doing. This project Exile has been working on is a great example. Here’s a great way you can check out what this madman has been up to- This podcast has some never before instrumentals as well as upcoming material he produced which will also feature some appearances from Alchemist, Evidence, Blu & more. Also look out for his upcoming album with Fashawn, Boy Meets World drops October 20th. With the “OK” from Hecktik and Fashawn I’ll post one of my favorite tracks before the album comes out.
