Vegas!

Went out to Las Vegas for the Magic Trade Show for a couple of days. It’s always good to catch up with the homies and make moves in the industry but let’s face it, everyone is really out there for the parties. Even though I didn’t bring my camera out on those wild all nighters, here’s some pictures I took on the trip.

Mike J! This dude probably has the worst gas known to man, I think he’s on a egg mcmuffin and milk diet.

When you’re in Vegas you’ll always find great food and one spot that always inspired my cooking is Bahama Breeze.  The dishes there are super simple yet fresh and delicious. You can probably make half the stuff on their menu but every time I eat there I always get ideas on dishes I want to try and make at home.

Fire Roasted Jerk Shrimp- in garlic thyme butter with warm cuban bread for dipping. Definitely going to make this…

Crab Claws St. Thomas- Blue crabs in island citrus butter. Probably won’t make this but definitely going to try and make the butter. They infuse it with passion fruit but I’ll try it with mango and use scallops instead of the crab claws. Pow!

After that we headed home and every time we drive I always see this damn sign…

So today we said screw it and stopped.

Best idea ever. Alien Fresh Jerky is the shit!

Make sure you stop by this place next time you decide to go party in Baker, CA for the weekend? Best quality jerky I’ve ever tasted.

It’s kind of hard to tell but on the way home it was 104 degrees and raining. Random.

35 milly

About 5 years ago I went out to France and Barcalona for work and instead of taking my digital camera I decided to bring my old 35 mm Yashica T4. If you don’t know about this camera it takes amazing photos, dubbed one of the best point-and-shoots ever made. Even then I felt lucky to have one because Yashica discontinued the T4 early in 2002 – rumor is that they ran into licensing problems with Carl Zeiss lenses who armed the T4 with one of the best optical rigs you’ll find on a P&S. A couple people clowned me because it was a clunker and around that same time the smaller your digital camera was the cooler. Regardless of what everyone said I came back with 10 rolls of amazing pictures. The best part about it was when I got them developed I learned they started giving you a cd with all the images on there to upload to your computer as well. I ended up losing the cds and jpegs on my old computer but below are a couple from the trip I scanned from the physical copies (quality isn’t that great because of the scanner but I hope you get the idea). Anyways, I decided that I wanted to start bringing this beast around and taking more photos with it. Since I’m still trying to learn how to take picture’s I’ll make sure I keep you posted with the good ones.

Here’s a video I found of Terry Richardson using the same camera…

Be on the look out for more pics with the T4!
